Attendance & Absences

Success in high school is directly related to regular school attendance. If a student is serious about completing the requirements for a high school diploma, they will not miss school unless they have a really good reason.

Students at Captain John must be in school for a minimum of 15 hours per week. Students who fail to meet the required classroom hours for 3 consecutive weeks will have to have a SST meeting with teachers and Principal, and if that does not solve problem, student and parent will have to attend a SARB hearing on why the student is failing to attend school.
